Kurt Pellegrino’s Youth Fitness Program will help your child improve conditioning and agility, build upper body strength, and reach and maintain top physical fitness level performance. Whether your child is a beginner and needs to start from the ground up, or your child is already an athlete and wants to prepare for upcoming sports seasons, our coaches will help each child individually. This program can be done in preparation for other sports or can be done in conjunction with other sports.
The most well respected fitness and health organizations in the world, including the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the Mayo Clinic and the American College of Sports Medicine, support the implementation of developmentally appropriate strength training programs for young children. Our youth program is designed for kids ages 9 to 14 to promote physical development and basic athleticism within a safe and exciting environment. You will not see our coaches running young kids into the ground or putting them through an hour of plyometrics and rebounding exercises. We will purposely limit impactful contacts to the ground to avoid damage to the growth plates and overuse of joints. Our goal is for each child to improve overall athleticism, coordination, posture, body awareness, self-confidence and much more.
With our focus on building today’s youth, this program will get them in shape through intense 45 minute workouts, which change daily to keep their minds and bodies engaged and prevent progress plateaus. The training sessions are held twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5pm. Sessions can be purchased in 5, 10, or 20 class increments.
